Hi everyone! I know, I know, I’m a bad blogger. Sorry for not being around in the past months. I’ve been busy with life and whatnot, and I really can’t believe I haven’t blogged in 2 months! Time flies!
I’ve also been through a lot these last few weeks, and it was a much needed break. As most of you know, I’m in the process of launching my art+design studio but you’ll have to wait a little more before the official announcement (sorry to disappoint you, KC ;)
I’m currently focusing on getting ready to leave for France in a few days (for a few months) so it isn’t the best time to officially launch my project. As I told some of you on Twitter though, I’ll blog on a weekly basis from my soon-to-be-launched business website+blog when I’m in France so you’ll soon find out the why and the what.
Lots of good stuff to come. Here’s a preview: (in my studio)
ps: If you’re on Twitter, say hi and let’s be friends! You’ll find me @iamhasina
Okay, the title is a bit dramatic considering the fact that I have good news I’ll be sharing with you in a couple of months. But it also means that the end of this blog as you know it is near. It doesn’t mean the death of fabulissime.com; I prefer to call it a rebirth. I will soon embark on a new adventure. It’s exciting and scary but also liberating.
I’m pretty busy these days, but in a good way. I’ve been hanging out with some amazing people and working on some fun projects. Here’s a photo I took last week of one of my most favorite people in the world who was sweet enough to accept to be my guinea pig for a project I’m working on. I love it because it sums up where I’m standing right now in life. You know… the wait, the doubts, the excitement of the unknown, the endless possibilities…
I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I last posted something over here. Some of you know I’ve been hanging out on Twitter more often. To some degree, I prefer it to blogging. I like the spontaneous connections and instantaneous reactions. I also like the fact that you have to make your point in less than 140 characters. Short and sweet and straight to the point, just the way I like it.
In other news, we FINALLY have a deck and I love it. Now I can really enjoy the backyard and really say “it’s nice to be home”. The saga began two years ago when we had the awful DIY patio built by the previous owners demolished. For the railing, I chose a horizontal design which is more modern but also visually cleaner. I didn’t want it to look too modern though because I wanted to make sure the design would match the rest of the house.
So the Before, 3 years ago (it looked way worse in real life and I really hated hanging out in the backyard because it was so depressing):
And the After (I love the simplicity of it so I don’t plan on doing any major decorating but you can expect some future posts with lots of pictures on how I’m prettifying the whole thing).
Hope everything’s fine in your corner of the world!
I love neutrals with a pop of color. Obviously. I used to wear all black (I guess I got lazy when I figured out that all black suits me well ha!) but I’ve been drawn to black and nude/gold/beige combination in recent years (which is why I’m totally, absolutely, positively in love with professional organizer Laura Cattano’s wardrobe).
My favorite online store right now is Obakki (so many gorgeous items). I’m still experimenting (but always with a focus on quality vs quantity). I like the idea that my style is evolving and that I’m a work in progress. After all, it’s the journey that counts, not the destination, right?
My name's Hasina. I love clean design. Visual arts rock my world. I believe we should surround ourselves with only those things we really really really love. I also believe in sticking with last year's model.
I blog about all the good things in life, from my home in Montreal, Canada.
