Mass hysteria mystery resolved
If you watched the video I posted a couple of days ago (see my previous post), you’re probably wondering what kind of store it was. My lovely girlfriend Karine from Luxembourg (whom I met in the US almost 15 years ago… ah memories) thinks it might be the launch of Sonia Rykiel’s collection for H&M. On closer inspection of the video, I spotted some striped dresses that do look like Sonia’s designs in the store window, so Karine is probably right. As I told Karine, the funny thing is that most people (and probably most of the women you see in the video) wouldn’t be able to tell a design by Sonia Rykiel from a no-name piece of clothing. And a lot of them would probably find the clothes downright ugly if they didn’t have the SR label. (Personally, I like some of Sonia Rykiel’s designs but I’m not a fan of what she did for H&M).
