*fabulissime*

Closing time

Okay, the title is a bit dramatic considering the fact that I have good news I’ll be sharing with you in a couple of months. But it also means that the end of this blog as you know it is near. It doesn’t mean the death of fabulissime.com; I prefer to call it a rebirth. I will soon embark on a new adventure. It’s exciting and scary but also liberating.

I’m pretty busy these days, but in a good way. I’ve been hanging out with some amazing people and working on some fun projects. Here’s a photo I took last week of one of my most favorite people in the world who was sweet enough to accept to be my guinea pig for a project I’m working on. I love it because it sums up where I’m standing right now in life. You know… the wait, the doubts, the excitement of the unknown, the endless possibilities…

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I last posted something over here. Some of you know I’ve been hanging out on Twitter more often. To some degree, I prefer it to blogging. I like the spontaneous connections and instantaneous reactions. I also like the fact that you have to make your point in less than 140 characters. Short and sweet and straight to the point, just the way I like it.

In other news, we FINALLY have a deck and I love it. Now I can really enjoy the backyard and really say “it’s nice to be home”. The saga began two years ago when we had the awful DIY patio built by the previous owners demolished. For the railing, I chose a horizontal design which is more modern but also visually cleaner. I didn’t want it to look too modern though because I wanted to make sure the design would match the rest of the house.

So the Before, 3 years ago (it looked way worse in real life and I really hated hanging out in the backyard because it was so depressing):

And the After (I love the simplicity of it so I don’t plan on doing any major decorating but you can expect some future posts with lots of pictures on how I’m prettifying the whole thing).

Hope everything’s fine in your corner of the world!

Hi Hasina! Just found your blog and I’ve fallen in love with the striped pillow in your guest bedroom post. Can you let me know were you got it?

    Also the deck looks great.

Hi Britt! Thanks for your kind words and sorry for the late reply. The pillow is from a store in France but I think it’s been discontinued (I can’t remember the name unfortunately).

Sorry to hear your blog is changing but looking forward to the new result! I had wanted to nominate your blog for the One Lovely Blog peer award, but I guess I will wait and link your “fabuliss” new blog to my blogroll instead. Best of luck to you with your new direction!
